We're delighted to announce that acclaimed freediving guru Emma Farrell will be running a series of FREE breathing optimisation workshops at our Lakeside Summer Party on the 1st August aimed at both swimmers and divers alike. As a leading instructor with over twenty years of experience under her weight belt, Emma has worked with TV personalities and elite Olympic athletes to enhance their in-water comfort, performance and well-being.

Vobster Quay and the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance have joined forces to host a swim event like no other - a topless open water swim for women with a serious message. On Sunday 23rd August, help us to raise awareness of life-saving CPR and raise money for a very worthy cause.

Spring has arrived and with it some important changes to our swim courses including the return of our popular 750m loop. This year, though, we've taken the decision to do things a little differently to aid those not quite ready for the longer swim distances so please take a few moments to read this important announcement.

Join us every Thursday from the 2nd April for five weeks of the very best night diving right here at Vobster Quay. Whether you're hankering after a relaxing post-work dive or you're an instructor planning to run night diver training, we'll be staying open until 10:00pm - plenty of time to explore the darkness at your leisure.

Price increases have become an unavoidable reality in recent years and, like our visitors, we've felt their impact acutely. Like every UK business, the cost of running Vobster has increased significantly over the last 12 months but we're committed to reducing their impact on our visitors.

Can you feel it? Change is in the air with the first signs of Spring making themselves known. With these seasonal signs comes another change - we bid farewell to the Winter and switch to our April opening hours with more opportunities available for open water swimming.

Want to visit Vobster Quay but not a member? We understand that committing to a Vobster membership isn't for everyone so we're making some changes. For those that will only visit Vobster Quay very occasionally, we've got some great news - our opening hours will be changing between April and September to offer access for non-member swimmers and divers.

Operations Manager Tim Clements has been the face of Vobster Quay for almost 20 years but it is with a sense of immense pride and gratitude that we announce the changing of the guard. As we head into 2026, big changes are afoot with a fond farewell to Tim and the apppointment of Pete Shaw as his very worthy successor.

The water temperature may drop over the winter months but that's no reason to stop swimming! To help you get the most put of your winter swimming, we've implemented some important changes to our swim courses to reflect the lower water temperatures.
